From junction 27 of the M5 take the North Devon Link Road (A361), bypass the town of Barnstaple on to the A39 towards Bideford and Bude. Cross the bridge at Bideford, bypassing the town and continuing towards Bude. Pass through Fairy Cross, Horns Cross and Bucks Cross and at Clovelly Cross, a roundabout with adjacent garage, continue straight on towards Bude. Four miles from this point you will come to the brow of a hill on Bursdon Moor, turn left signposted for West Yagland. Follow this road for just over one and a half miles, ignore the sharp right bend and carry straight over the small junction signposted Hartland Forest, continue for 300 yards until you reach the entrance on your right
